The Chamber of Commerce is a public corporation.
Its activities are therefore basically regulated by law.
All companies, with few exceptions, are obliged to register in the Register of Companies.
The Chamber of Commerce enjoys a far-reaching administrative autonomy that is to be extended by national reforms under consideration.
It is subject to the supervision of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano/Bozen.
Nature, functions and responsibilities of the Chamber of Commerce are defined by regional law.
